Like many of the talented musicians we talk to, Julian’s already spent a good few years playing clubs and bars around his native NY city. He’s been compared to Harry Nilsson (who’s Album THE POINT is a FAV of Julian’s), his enthusiasm and live performances are winning him new fans on this side of the waters too. He began playing piano at 5 and obsessively taught himself how to play Steely Dan songs. Julian loves music from the 1970’s however we both agreed that not all music from that decade was top notch! It’s always easy to look back at the decades through rose tinted glasses and forget about Paperlace.
