Green day had already released 2 Albums on Independent labels when BASKET CASE came out from the Album “Dookie”. It was a massive hit spending 5 weeks at the top of the charts. The song was written by front man Billie Joe Armstrong about his struggle with anxiety when he thought he was going crazy and was later diagnosed with a panic disorder. Released by Reprise Records and Produced by Rob Cavalla and Green Day. All lyrics by Billie Joe, except Emenius Sleepus, which was written by Mike.
