MULTIPLAYER - CURRENT ERRORS AND BUGS
Please find a list below of current bugs for the MultiPlayer. We are working to resolve these in future releases of the MultiPlayer.
Old Content
The new MultiPlayer does not play old content from the Beta version. Please remember to re-download your content from the "My Downloads" section of the website.
Launching Songs
Although MultiPlayer songs can now be launched by double-clicking the video file, this may not always work on PC XP if the MultiPlayer is already open or there is a confusion with the application .msi file. A new song can be opened either by selecting it in the "File Menu" or by quitting the application and double-clicking on another video.
MultiPlayer Video Folder
Occasionally the MultiPlayer Video folder is not created, sometimes if the MP is re-installed or may be moved to a new location etc. Please be aware that without this folder in this location, MultiPlayer tracks can not be installed and played; users will see error "invalid mulitplayer smhtp file please download again" message appears.
Please create 'MultiPlayer Video' folder in correct location:
PC XP: My Documents/My Music
Mac OS X: Users/Music
Please then locate original downloaded .smhtp file and re-install into your MultiPlayer Video Folder by double-clicking on it to play.
MP can crash if you use the zoom buttons or click on the video panel
Reason:
Bug in QuickTime for Java
Resolution:
Don't use the zoom buttons or click on the video panel.
Mute / Solo Controls
The volume faders don't remember the volume settings when a solo/mute is used. These problems are currently being addressed but in the meantime, any confusion with the controls can be cleared by using the Reset button.
Loop Function
Looping currently works only under certain conditions:
Ensure the tune is stopped.
Set the start/end markers.
Start the tune.
Click on the loop button.
Other Video Issues
On a Mac, video may occasionally exhibit display problems when using zoom in/zoom out. This can be cleared by minimizing and maximizing the player or pressing another full screen button.
MultiPlayer Fails to Quit
MultiPlayer Fails to Quit Properly on PC. The MultiPlayer may sometimes hang or appear to quit but fail to allow a re-start. This problem can be cleared by right-clicking on the Task Bar and selecting Task Manager. Please click the Process tab & locate the name ‘MultiPlayer12-8.exe’ in the list. Highlight this and click the ‘End Process’ button at the bottom.
