Herbie Flowers

Legendary session musician came into the SMHTP studio to play, chat and charm everyone. We think SMHTP is totally unique by featuring some of the very best musicians around who want to share their playing techniques, skills and of course fantastic stories, which in Herbie’s case are many!

Name a classic song and Herbie’s played on it. We've recorded Walk on the wild side, Rebel Rebel, Perfect Day and Space Oddity with the original Session musician himself (or "One take Herbie" as he’s known to us now) all as Multiplayer tracks.

Also featuring on Perfect Day, is a real string section with cellist AUDREY RILEY who’s played on some amazing Songs herself (Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Muse).

Herbie recorded 4 multiplayer tracks, 1 live session and a very interesting interview in 3 parts all on the same day. He had more energy than the whole SMHTP team put together. We hope to persuade Herbie to come in and do some more recording for us in the future. So let us know what tracks you’d like to learn because with Herbie, there’s a lot to choose from.
