Gloria Cycles
Gloria Cycles the four-piece indie rock band from Brighton were originally brought together by a shared love of photography. Band members Kenny McCracken, (lead singer and guitarist) and Julian Ward (guitarist and backing vocals) met at university in Brighton; their passion for photography was paired with a love for music.
Their creativity sparked a unique idea and so became Gloria Cycles.
Prior to the creation of Gloria Cycles both Kenny and Julian had enjoyed musical success - Kenny with the band Victor Malloy whose songs were recently featured in the Coca Cola ad in the USA, and Julian as a singer and guitarist with Mosquito.
The pair found it a challenging task seeking out other band members. Their vision for Gloria Cycles was clear; they wanted a bass player and drummer who would share the same principles for the band as them, so they could all head forward in the same musical direction.
They soon stumbled upon ex-fashion student Jen Dalby who joined the band as bass player, before coming across talented and versatile drummer Jack Hanman.
At the time of taking on Jen, Kenny and Julian were quietly unaware that Jen possessed a beautiful harmonic voice that would prove to be “integral to the vocal harmonies of the band as well as standing out on its own.”
Ever since Gloria Cycles formed they have dedicated their time to writing, rehearsing and gigging. The formula seems to have worked and the band has hundreds of fans chasing their tracks. After touring extensively throughout Brighton the band are set to hit the London circuit.
