BEING the music detectives that we are at SMHTP, we made it our mission to find out exactly what graft goes into concert production. The answer we found was Network Audio Productions they specialise in all areas of production including sound, staging, lighting, video and LED screens. Nick Halliday owner of Network Audio spared us a few moments to discuss work experience, major gigs and perks.
TIPS FROM THE TOP – WORK EXPERIENCE THE RIGHT WAY IN
Nick Halliday from Network Audio says that work experience can be used as one of the most effective tools to gain experience in order to get a job in concert production.
He explains: “If you’re a student do a bit of work experience in the summer, it’s a case of contacting all the production companies. Most have plans for taking people into help.
As a full-time career work experience during the holidays is invaluable. We always need trained people who will put in the hours. To gain that you will need to do work experience and help wherever possible.”

Mystery Jets
One of the less orthodox bands spawned by the postLibertines London music scene, the Mystery Jets started at the end of the last century when Blaine Harrison and his dad, Henry formed a band together. Soon joined by Blaine’s schoolfriends Kai and Will, the band recruited drummer Kapil and started staging gigs in a crumbling hotel ballroom on Eel Pie Island.
